This project showcases a comprehensive renovation of a UK semi-detached property, taking it from a dated exterior to a stunning, modern family home through a series of ambitious structural changes and high-end finishes.
We managed this project from the initial “strip-back” to the final decorative touches, ensuring every stage met our rigorous quality standards.
Large Rear & Side Extension: We significantly increased the ground-floor footprint by adding a large rear extension featuring a vaulted ceiling and a striking wall of black-framed bi-fold doors. This created a light-filled, open-plan kitchen and dining area that flows seamlessly onto a new stone patio.
Loft Conversion: To maximize vertical space, we carried out a full loft conversion, adding a new floor that includes a large rear-facing window to capture natural light and provide additional living or bedroom space.
Structural Steelwork: A project of this scale required significant structural engineering. We utilized heavy-duty steel beams (RSJs) to support the new open-plan layouts and the additional weight of the loft, including the use of crane hire for the precise placement of larger structural members.
Complete External Rendering: The entire property was transformed with a fresh, modern render system. This replaced the mismatched and tired original brickwork with a crisp, white finish that perfectly complements the new black window frames and matching roofline.
Overall Renovation: Beyond the extensions, the entire house underwent a total overhaul. This included the installation of new windows throughout, a new roof, updated guttering and fascias, and a complete redesign of the front entrance and driveway area.
